The Center of the Wheel: An Introduction ~
We eventually find that wherever we step, the path appears beneath our feet.
So it has been said, and so apt I now find this favorite quote of mine. A myriad of different paths I have taken in my somewhat long life -- some easy, some more arduous -- but all of them, I believe, have led to my highest good and learning, to my present physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth, unfolding slowly as it has between countless moons of pale reflection. Regardless of this, the mountain remains as it has since my birth -- before me, beneath me, inside of me -- though my surroundings change daily and the summit is still a far off destination.
There are essentially no failures as we move through this physical realm -- up this damp, darkly-forested mountainside, warm shafts of dancing sunlight piercing entwined branches -- only lessons, some learned quickly, some much harder to understand. What can be said to be mistakes to some are simply the times we just keep repeating the difficult lessons instead of making them easy ones, like seeing a wall, knowing there's a wall, and still running into the wall -- in spite of the wall remaining where it always has been. Sometimes a "wall" has been just what I've needed at times; pain has been described as being the universe's way of getting one's attention.
In any case, what matters most is that I traverse each of my chosen paths with adventure in mind, intuitively knowing that all promise to eventually reach the top -- opened wide to the heavens, sun-bathed in resplendent Light. May Spirit always guide your path as well as mine, for who knows what lies ahead. Around every bend, the unknown awaits; switchback after switchback promises to unveil yet another undiscovered secret. My most sincere wish is that this day's -- and tomorrow's -- path will lead us all closer to the peak of our final evolution and that we share in this refreshing journey together along the way, no matter how long it takes.
